Dear Reading Group Member Working Partners Ltd would like to research what makes a successful book for readers in library reading groups, giving you the opportunity to influence what is published as well as offering you the opportunity to join their stable of writers. We at The Reading Agency are working with Working Partners to deliver their research and this e-mail is coming to you as one of the groups listed on our national database of reading groups. We would be most grateful if you would ask members of your group if they'd be kind enough to complete the on-line questionnaire at http://www.readingagency.org.uk/forms/view_form.php?id=168
It can also be accessed via The Reading Agency website (www.readingagency.org.uk), to the Projects page, in the Reading Groups section, click on the Working Partners survey link, then the questionnaire link.
If you have any trouble with accessing the form please email resources@readingagency.org.uk or call 0871 750 1207.
>Please see more info from Working Partners below.
Working Partners Ltd <http://www.workingpartnersltd.co.uk> is a creative company who has been behind some of the most successful children's books of the last decade. We work closely with writers and publishers to produce unputdownable stories.
Working Partners is now starting to do the same for adult books, creating fiction across a number of genres. As part of our research into what people like to read and what they would like to see more of we have devised the on-line questionnaire which you can find at www.readingagency.org.uk. We would be most grateful if you would ask members of your group if they'd be kind enough to complete it.
If you have writing aspirations yourself then there is an added incentive to sending us the form. If you wish to be considered for a Working Partners project, either adult or children's, then tick the box at the end of the form and we will enter your name into a draw. If selected, you will be asked to submit a writing sample based on a plot brief we provide. You will receive full editorial feedback on what you produce at this stage. You then have the chance to be contracted for a full novel, working closely with an editor, and be paid an advance and a royalty.
