Monday 10th November, 2008: Meeting Notes by Caroline.

Eleven members met at tonight's meeting in the Alex (Lynne, Kay, Trish, Kevin, Lesley, Irene, Sarah, Jenny, Marcie, Claire and Caroline). The feelings about Mr Albom's "The Five People you meet in Heaven" elicited some totally negative comments and a few half-hearted words of support. Some felt that there was only sufficient material for a short story; most agreed that had the book been longer it would have been intolerable!

From Claire's suggested three books for December we chose "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" by Kim Edwards for discussion on December 8 at the Alex.

Jenny will on that occasion let us have her three choices from which we will choose the book to discuss in January.
